"Wm. Pattison, N.L.Vady" within a rectangular platinum cartouche.
Throat hole Cock. Interestingly, Pattison at this time used this bird symbol (Dove?) with a sprig of grass/wheat? in its beak.
It has also been noted on other weapons by this gunmaker.

Pistol trigger guard with bird and sprig of grass/wheat.

William Pattison is listed in the Pigot & Co trade directory of 1824. However, as we will see he is also quoted as having commenced business in 1828? This be believe is an error due to him being enlisted in the army for the period 1825-1832.
