One ramrod fitted with reversible steel charger. The octagonal barrels with gold cartouches to top flats                                                       "McDermott.Dublin".

Throughout these blogs we will review more of the work produced by the McDermotts. They were      without doubt two prolific makers of duelling pistols in Dublin. As previously noted both Farrell and Henry are listed by M.S Dudley Westropp but it would appear that pistols/guns appear with both spellings "McDermott" or "McDermot". The relevance of the different spellings and the connection between these two gunmakers has yet to be established.
