A crowned gold cartouche (Proof Mark) "Rigby & Son, Dublin" found on a flintlock duelling pistol  c.1817.

    Very unusual to find a gold breech cartouche touch mark on a Rigby. More usual on English guns.

    I have since found an earlier one in gold, inscribed Rigby Dublin with a crown.
