Joseph Braddell & Son traded from the above address for the period, 1915-1975.

Joseph Braddell purchased William Cole's business in c.1838 and is noted in our blog
of 22/10/2015.
Joseph Braddell & Son are still active today but primarily offering fishing tackle. They have
recently suffered a fire at their North Street, Belfast premises.

Mr Charles Costley, managing director of Joseph Braddell & Son, wrote a brief history of his company in "Irish Fieldsports & Angling Handbook compiled by Albert Titterington,
B.Sc., M.B.A.. The Appletree Press Ltd., for Professional Promotions Ltd.. Published 1984".
This company has been the cornerstone of the sporting scene in Northern Ireland for over
200 years.
