Double Barrelled Sporting Gun by Flanagan.
31.5" Barrels of approx 18 bore.
Classically engraved back-action lock with wide collared hammers and bun-nut retention. 
                     Barrels registered under the 1843 Registration Act in County Fermanagh                                                                                         (F 4388)

In certain instances double barrelled guns have been found with consecutive registration numbers.

Martin Flanagan Dublin trades directory for 1835. 



Martin Flanagan was at one time employed by Wm & John Rigby. The style of the above sporting gun reflecting this fact. A later entry lists John Flanagan of 28 Wellington Street. (1840).

                Another Flanagan, William is noted in Banbridge, County Down.c.1819. *
