The format of the label is unique in style and includes the full range of firearms available from this company. Joseph Braddell not only giving their location but also stating the fact that they are to be found next door to the Ulster Club. In addition, they include their new trade mark of the Red Hand of Ulster.
The establishment date of 1811 derives from the fact that the roots of the business were laid by William Cole who traded with John Gardner( Gunmaker) in Ann Street, Belfast. Joseph Braddell being William Coles stepson and having taken over his stepfathers business and forming Joseph Braddell (Gunmaker) in 1838. Joseph Braddells mother Sarah Cole having taking over her husbands business in 1835 on his death.
