Slab Sided Grip. Full Rainproof Pan. Roller Frizzen Spring.
Stepped Lockplate

Round barrel with flattened top sighting rib with "Belfast" and front blade sight.
1843 Irish Registration number for Dublin City. (DC 7405)

Charles Weekes was the son of John Weekes who established the business in c.1859 

John Weekes & Son bought the stock of Mr. Henry Dowling (Gunmaker) in June 1874 following Dowling's death.

Charles Weekes bought the stock of Daniel O'Connor (Gunmaker) in 1877 following O'Connor's death.

Wm & Jn Rigby Pepperbox Revolver No. 9280 for 1844.

The classically built Wm & Jn Rigby Pepperbox Revolver. Made in 5 & 6 Shot with bores varying from 60 bore down to 120 bore. In total 152 were made between 1843 and 1858 by Wm & Jn Rigby. There were many variants which culminated in the quick release side button versions. D.H.L Back in Great Irish Gunmakers, Messrs Rigby 1760-1867 lists all those sold and details the bores; whether sold cased or loose and also the name of the purchaser.
