Robert Mc Cormick had left Dublin for America and was to be employed by the U.S. Government to make arms, yet by 1801 he had met the same fate and was inprisoned as a debtor. James Haslett a fellow Irishman and superintendant of McCormick took over the running of the contracts.

Please refer to our "older post" related to the work of Robert McCormick in both Belfast & Dublin dated: 14/4/2017, 5/3/2016, 10/1/2016, 15/10/2015 & 9/9/2015.
