The dates listed for this maker as found via the Cork Trade Directories are: Henry Allport.   1820-1850   77 Georges Street Henry Allport.     -1867                 67 Old George  Street.  N.B: Research is ongoing but it our belief that with the expansion of the city. George Street was extended. Thereby a distinction being drawn between the old and the new part of this street. In addition, this would explain the door number alteration from 77 to 67. A common occurrence in the Victorian period.   At this stage unproven! They became "and Sons" in circa 1867 when trading at 42 Patrick Street.
