Prior to the conversion this pistol was a top class dueller,
possibly one of a pair. C. 1810
The above pistol being 15.75" in overall length with a 10.63" octagonal bead sighted barrel
of 22 bore.
Half stocked chequered grip with horn forend.
Barrel made by John Murphy ("J.M")
Dublin.
In this conversion the full rainproof pan from the flintlock
has been poorly filed and remnants still evident.
The lockplate work is not that of Obadiah Wisdom.
Twin gold lined breech bands.
The reworked breech plug and bolster very well executed.
