The above percussion "Turnabout" or "Vendor" pistol is a classic style produced by William & John Rigby. This two shot over & under 36 bore pistol being made as one of a pair. It is serial numbered 10271 and was sold in 1851*. The lock has the traditional three bents so popular with the Rigby house. This feature has been found on early Forsyth pistols also. Forsyth having had a major influence on the Rigby work.

A strong and robust design of pistol with concealed trigger. This pistol showing signs of surface rust but retaining much original finish.
